DA:O Heroes of the Fifth Blight: Leliana by Darantha DA:O Heroes of the Fifth Blight: Leliana by Darantha
"I came to Ferelden and the Chantry because I was being hunted. I walked where the Maker led me and he has rewarded me for my faith. I found you."

You, the person who designed that armor... "argh" at you. Torn between "oh but that makes perfect sense" and "how does that thing work". Complete and utter guesswork on the boots mid-shin and down, same for the vambrace. ... gave her a archery glove too, because I can.

Oghren next up.

Character property of Bioware.

Every rose has it's thorns.
Was what I first thought ;)
Songs aside, this is the rose Alistair gives his love, the one that Leliana sees as a miracle as they leave Lothering. Again, amazing imagery. Also how the thorns rise up to imprison her like a cage, very cool choice.
(And great detail and colours).
And a rose for a rose ;) :rose:

The "Every rose has it's thorns" proverb would sum up DA ladies pretty well really. In my opinion at least.
And yeah, I've assumed Alistair's rose and the one Leliana speaks of are the same. I wonder what Leliana would make of it if she knew he gives it to the Warden as a sign of affection, heh. :)
Thank you!

I forgot to put how I like that the thorns cage her in her chantry clothes, like the chantry life is a prison to her, and also symbolize the troubles of Lelianas past.

Yeah, would they have a fight over it? Leli would say 'That's my miracle rose you plucked you big Ferelden jerk!' and Alistair would say 'Oh Maker, just go sing to Andraste or something would you?' :)

Leliana! How nice to see another one in this series and it looks just as great as the other ones! Only thing is that it seems like her head a bit too big compared to her body, making her look rather short. Otherwise, nicely done and love the armour she is wearing!

Thank you :D Argh, you're right, something is off with the proportions. Gonna try and fix it.

You're welcome :) and good luck with it! Otherwise, as it might be hard to fix it after having finished the picture, you could just keep it in mind for the next one!

I love it too, it's a really nice design (If a bit pants-less). Always lamented the lack of character specific gear in Origins for everyone aside from Morrigan.

That's true, however they changed that in the DAII, assigning a specific gear to each of the companion NPCs. On the other hand then I missed the possibility of changing the party's armor as I was able to do in the Origins ;)

As for Leliana's pants-less armor, well, I guess someone must have really liked that idea as both Zevran and the Dalish elves have a pants-less impractical armor ;)

Yeah, I know they changed it in DA2. Being unable to assign them gear was indeed a bit annoying since... you'd end up with armor nobody could use. But visually I loved that all the companions had their looks. It'll be interesting to see Inquisitions mixed system, sounds like they've put a lot of work into the whole customization aspect.

Hah, one of my Wardens is a rogue, and so is my main Hawke, so one of my first reactions when playing DA2 was "I have paaaaaaaaaaaants!".
